Ambathy Nature Research Foundation
Combining scientific research, grassroots practice, and education to create living models of resilience β places where land heals, biodiversity thrives, and human beings flourish.

About Us
Ambathy Nature Research Foundation (ANRF) combines scientific research, grassroots practice, and education to build living models of resilience β places where land heals, biodiversity thrives, and human beings flourish.
We are a team of experts and conscious people who believe that innovative design and implementation of projects can lead to ecologically sound growth and development, anchored in beauty, harmony and abundance.
Focus Areas
- Land Use Research for freeing up βLand for Treesβ
- Infrastructure and building footprint optimisation for maximising open spaces
- Optimising open spaces for habitat services and ecological functionality through intelligent design and Nature Based Solutions (NBS)
Types of Projects & Activities Undertaken
- Ecological land use planning
- Generating ecological baseline and long-term monitoring frameworks
- Designing project metrics that align all stakeholders towards eco-conscious design and development
- Ecological audits
- Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Botanical and biodiversity assessments
- Quantifying the true ecological footprint of human activities
There was a time when the relationship between horses and humans changed civilisations. Today, we believe that trees are that potent ally in the evolution of the planet and humanity. The extent and nature of symbiosis between trees and human beings is poised to define the trajectory of humanity and the planet in the age of climate change, massive resource extraction, growing population and hyper energy consumption.
Progressively manipulating more matter and energy is part of human nature. It is important for growth and evolution of humanity. The question is β can we do this beautifully (aesthetics β a beautiful heaven on earth), harmoniously (resolve negative externalities and become regenerative) and abundantly (equity and inclusion)?
